I’m not usually much of a ‘watch person’, but these outrageously nice Aviation watches from French brand Bell & Ross are just stunning.
At around £4,000 a go, I’ll just add them to the ever-growing list of really nice stuff I’ll never own. Sigh.

OP–1 / Teenage Engineering, 2011
I’m currently obsessing over this synthesiser by Swedish company Teenage Engineering. I mean, just look at it. A gorgeous piece of industrial design.
We’ve been lucky enough to have one knocking about in the office recently, and I can report – even as someone who has zero experience of synths – it’s a joy to use; the UI is staggeringly cool.

Vitsoe 606 shelving system
At the weekend I visited Vitsoe’s flagship store on Duke Street where they’ve been celebrating 50 years of the classic 606 shelving system by Dieter Rams.
On display were some rarely-seen examples of original Vitsoe shelving, such as the 1966 piece, above, and 1968 piece, below. A few vintage Rams-designed Braun products made their way in to the show as well, along with many examples of how the current system works today.
The fact that these 50-year-old pieces of furniture can be integrated into the current system with no modification whatsoever is a true testament to the genius of Rams’ design.
Light Blubs / Pieke Bergmans, 2008
A real classic ‘I wish I’d thought of that’ project. Beautiful.

Desk Phone Dock / Key Utility, 2010
Yes please! It looks like the days of the landline phone are finally numbered.
In other phone-related news, Apple previewed iPhone OS 4.0 yesterday and it’s making me wish summer would come even sooner. Multitasking at last! And about a million other awesome things. God I can’t wait to get a new iPhone.
