Motorbikes — new series / Tim George, 2013

I’m very pleased to announce a new series of prints, available now. Last year I produced a poster of 9 motorbikes that my dad owned during the 70s & 80s. I have now taken them a step further and produced an alternate series, abstracting the forms, graphics & colours.

Both the originals and the 6 brand new psychedelic versions are available to buy at Print–Process. The giclée prints are available as either A1 or A2 size, and printed on 230gsm ultra-smooth fine art matt paper.

I’m massively grateful to Blam for agreeing to stock my art on his insanely cool site! Acton Depot / 2013

Some new shots are now up on my Flickr – taken during a tour of the London Transport Museum Depot in Acton, West London.

If you’re in any way interested in graphic design, typography, and/or trains, I would suggest you get down there as soon as you can. It’s an absolute treasure trove of beautiful items from the network’s rich 150-year history.

Unfortunately, being a depot, there’s very little natural light, so please excuse the grainy, artificial tone of the shots. I’m sure you’ll agree, the content more than makes up for it.

30 years of the Space Shuttle / Tim George, 2013

To coincide with the launch of my new site, I have a new print for sale! Again, I’ve been working on this one for a long time… ever since the Shuttle was retired in July 2011, in fact.

Anyway, better late than never. I’m really pleased with the print – it’s been exquisitely screenprinted by K2 screen, in 3 colours (white, grey, orange) on dark grey stock from GF Smith.

London Loop / Tudor Prisăcariu, 2011

Ex-Sennep designer Tudor Prisăcariu has launched another of his epic photography projects – from 2011 when he walked the London Loop. This series shows a really interesting insight to London and its suburbs; there are scenes of great natural beauty juxtaposed with some really grim areas of urban decay. It all adds up to a fascinating and unusual portrayal of the city.

Windows of New York / José Guízar, 2013

One of the nicest illustration projects I’ve seen in a long, long while – José Guízar shows us the beauty in New York’s windows. Such great colours and simple forms, awesome.

Johnston, 1913-16

Nice article on Wired celebrating 100 years of Johnston’s timeless classic for the London Underground. In my opinion, the best typeface ever designed.
